ISLAMABAD, Aug 17 (INP-WealthPK): The National University of Science and Technology (NUST) will launch “Digital Pakistan Tech Fellowship Programme” to equip youth with latest technology-based insights.
To achieve the objective, NUST has signed an MoU with internet and mobile broadband provider Jazz.
Speaking at the MoU signing ceremony, NUST Rector Engineer Javed Mahmood Bukhari said that creating an enabling environment for technological development is one of the top priorities of the university. “We are continuously on the lookout for more avenues that can help in securing a bright future for youth,” he said and hoped that the scope of NUST-Jazz partnership will further expand in future.
CEO of Jazz Aamir Ibrahim on the occasion said that industry-academia collaboration is instrumental in addressing the socioeconomic challenges of any country. He said that Jazz partnership with NUST is founded in collective desire to bring about national development through leveraging information and communication technology.
The fellowship was designed to engage the youth in a meaningful discourse around tech-based innovation. It will equip the participants with tech insights and enable them to play a pivotal role in building a creative economy based on the Digital Pakistan narrative.
