Manmeet Kaur lauded for being profiled in 1st Edition of ‘The Sikh 100 Under 30’ at int’l level

ISLAMABAD, May 04 (INP): The first Sikh female journalist in the history of country, Manmeet Kaur has been praised for being named by ‘The Sikh Group’ in its first edition of ‘The Sikh 100 under 30’, released on demand of the public at international level.

Many celebrities such as Ammy Virk, Guru Randhawa, Sidhu Moosewala, Sonam Bajwa and Jass Manak were included in the 2020 list. The youngest Sikh profiled is 10-year-old Arshnoor Singh Ji, fond of Kirtan from very young age and now travels country inspiring children to follow his footsteps and embrace Sikh Faith.

The countrymen especially Sikh community has praised Manmeet for earning a good name for country and Sikh people too.

Leaders of various political parties have also lauded her for being included among the top 100 under 30 Sikh youth of the world and extended good wishes for her in future also.

Manmeet Kaur belonging to Peshawar, the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), besides first Sikh female journalist of country’s history, has also been social worker engaged in serving the people especially in the wake of coronavirus pandemic.

She is post graduate in social sciences from Jinnah College for Women, Peshawar. She has also worked as an administrator in a computer academy for three years.

Currently, Manmeet has worked with a prominent news network of the country i-e “HUM TV” and has covered several religious, political and cultural events.

She also worked on key positions in various welfare projects of KP government.

Manmeet is working for welfare of Sikh community of the country especially the Sikh women considered to be most depressed segment among the minorities.

Despite being mother of a young girl, she was a role model for women communities playing key role in promotion of Sikh religion and engaged in various welfare projects launched for followers of Sikh faith.

Manmeet Kaur was of the view that the Sikh community instead of inducting in minorities should be considered as Pakistanis and must be endowed with all rights in par with other countrymen.
