Maleeha Lodhi terms India 'mother of terrorism' in South Asia

September 24, 2017

NEW YORK , Sep 24 (INP) Pakistan’s Permanent Representative at the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi has termed India as ‘mother of terrorism’ in South Asia.   Voicing her rebuttal to Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj's comment that Pakistan is a "pre-eminent export factory for terror", Lodhi claimed that India's posture is that of a predator. Lodhi also emphasised that India, a nation ruled by fascist ideology, should stop supporting and aiding terrorism and related activities across the border.   She said India is using terrorism as a state policy and that Indian arrested spy Kulbhushan Jadhav has confessed of committing terror activities in Pakistan. Maleeha Lodhi continued Kashmir is not the part of India, but illegally occupied by it. She said India’s refusal to implement the UN resolutions on Kashmir dispute is a deception and aggression. She said India is levelling accusations against Pakistan to divert world attention from the brutalities in occupied Kashmir. Ambassador Lodhi said the international community will have to stop India from ceasefire violations on the Line of Control, adding Pakistan wants resolution of all outstanding issues through talks. India will have to give up the policy of terrorism, she asserted. As a pre-condition for a fruitful dialogue, she said that India will have to shun the policy of terrorism and supporting terrorism in Pakistan. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself was involved in killing of Muslims in Gujrat, and hands of several leaders of the ruling party in India are stained with blood of innocent people. Even minorities in India are not safe, she stated. "Indian leaders have Muslim blood on their hands," she said. Pakistan calls for an inquiry into the war crimes perpetrated by India in Occupied Kashmir (IoK), the Pakistani UN representative stated, noting that forceful occupation of the troubled, conflict-ridden region is illegal.
