WASHINGTON, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) - Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will sign their normalization agreement at the White House on Sept. 15, US officials said on Tuesday.
Citing US officials, media reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan would attend the signing ceremony.

Israel and the UAE last month announced the full normalization of relations, making the UAE the first Gulf Arab state and only the third Arab nation, after Egypt and Jordan, to establish diplomatic ties with Israel.
According to the deal, Israel agrees to suspend its plan to annex parts of the occupied Palestinian territories in the West Bank.

Abbas called on all Arab countries to abide by the Arab Peace Initiative, launched in 2002, which stipulates that the Arabs can only normalize relations with Israel after the Palestinian issue is resolved. ■
