Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal has assured the businessmen of the government’s full support and asked them to pinpoint the bottlenecks that needed immediate removal. "I assure you full support of the government and will remove all the obstacles facing the business community," he said while speaking at an expo titled “Pakistan Property Housing & Construction”, organized by Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI).

The minister termed the private sector the backbone of the economic development of the country and urged it to help in increasing the country’s exports. There could be no growth if the country failed to produce exportable items and time has come to increase the growth rate. he said. The country needs an extraordinary increase in exports to meet the great economic challenges after the recent floods, he said.   Earlier, President of ICCI thanked Ahsan Iqbal for his consistent support for the business community.
