Generator sets of SAPT adopt advanced technology from China

ISLAMABAD, Oct 29 (INP): All four generator sets of HUTCHISON PORTS PAKISTAN SOUTH ASIA PORT TERMINAL (SAPT) power station Phase 2 has been completed ahead of schedule and all the indexes are qualified.
They were shipped to Karachi from China this month, Gwadar Pro reported on Thursday.
This project was signed by China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) in 2019 Nov. It was scheduled to be completed in 2021 Feb.
In this project, CSSC adopted the flywheel energy storage diesel generator sets with independent intellectual property rights (IIPR) to deal with the power station failures. so that the generator sets could be more economical and more reliable.
This project is the first time that CSSC flywheel energy storage diesel generator sets have been introduced to the international market after its mature application in China.
This year, the project encountered difficulties due to the impact of COVID-19 epidemic, but CSSC completed its manufacturing ahead of schedule.
