Function held for honor of female Muslim candidate for congress seat in New York

NEW YORK, Aug 21 (INP) - A ceremony was organized by the Pakistani community in New York for Rana Abdul Hamid, a female candidate for the Congress seat. A large number of socio-political personalities attended the function. On the occasion, Rana Abdul Hamid said being a Muslim, she also faced discrimination act many times from some people after 9 /11 incident "The problems of the Muslim community have reduced and that is why Muslims are becoming a part of politics, "she said. Situations have definitely changed, but the Muslim community was still facing many problems including immigrants, she said, adding that Muslims are also being overlooked in terms of food security. Host Khawar Baig said that Rana Abdul Hamid is the best candidate for the women's seat in the Congress. Hopefully, after her success, she will work for the Muslim community and pave the way for development for Muslims.
