WUHAN, Oct 19 (INP): 2018 Forum on Global Production Capacity and Business Cooperation opened in Wuhan, capital of central China’s Hubei Province.
A total of 2500 guests from more than 100 countries including Pakistan are attending the Forum, including over 70 foreign governors and ministers, delegations of five central provinces and 1100 enterprises from home and abroad.
Approved by the State Council, the Forum on Global Production Capacity and Business Cooperation, themed with “Openness, Development and Win-Win Cooperation”, is the largest-scale, the highest-level and the widest- influence event co-hosted by National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of People’s Republic of China and local governments in the field of global production capacity cooperation.
The Forum embraces opening ceremony, themed seminars, contract signing ceremonies, region specific sessions, enterprises fairs and face to face business talks, etc., establishing a new platform for global production capacity cooperation in central China.
Hubei Provincial Governor Wang Xiaodong welcomed the guests, and stated that during the inspection of Hubei in April, 2018, President Xi Jinping urged the high-quality development in the new era. Hubei became one of the most promising provinces of China.
He added that this Forum would be a new start to jointly promote the development of friendly relations, as well as strengthen pragmatic cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, agriculture, education in Belt and Road member countries.
To promote international capacity cooperation seeking for open and innovative cooperation prospects, the Forum shows China's firm resolution on opening up, as well as China's sincerity in enhancing pragmatic cooperation and mutual benefits, he added.
China’s Belt and Road Initiative and the Forum on Global Production Capacity and Business Cooperation significantly contributed to pragmatic cooperation with Hubei in trade and investment, infrastructure constructions, and cultural exchanges, seeking for mutual benefits and win-win development, the guests said.
