ISLAMABAD, July 15, (INP-WealthPK): The people associated with the automobile industry have pinned high hopes on the first international auto show in Pakistan for the development of the sector, WealthPK reports.

The Pakistan International Auto Show 2022, to be held in the last week of the current month in Lahore, will be the first trade show in the country dedicated to the rapidly growing automotive market. This first show of its kind in Pakistan is expected to boost the automotive industry of the country.

Leading automakers, auto parts manufacturers, suppliers and auto service providers from different countries will attend the event. It will cover the entire scope of motor vehicle parts, including components for the drive, chassis, body, electrics and electronic groups.

The show will also feature the equipment for vehicle service and repair, as well as bodywork repair and painting, tyres and batteries. Apart from showcasing the latest technological advancements, services and solutions within the automotive industry, the exhibition will also provide opportunities to the leading firms, manufacturers of automotive accessories and suppliers to promote their brands.

The show will be organised at Lahore Expo Centre under the auspices of the Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts and Accessories Manufacturers (PAAPAM).

Rehan Riaz, the convenor of the event, told WealthPK that the exhibition would bring immense benefits to the local industry and boost the country’s potential in the sector, resultantly increasing foreign investment in Pakistan. The show will be attended by a large number of international companies and the local manufacturers will get an opportunity to develop business and working relations with them.

The exhibition will provide a platform for the country’s auto industry to show its capabilities and potential to the international community. The three-day event will bring together the entire auto engineering industry under one roof.

It is expected that the show will attract more than 100,000 visitors, including parts manufacturers, component suppliers, affluent automobile buyers and auto lovers. The visitors will see the latest models of motorcycles, three-wheelers, cars, tractors, trucks and buses.

The event will provide an opportunity to the local manufacturers of vehicles to meet government officials, buyers and representatives of different firms from all over the world. The automobile industry of Pakistan saw huge growth in the previous fiscal year. However, the sector still needs more local assemblers and manufacturers of vehicles to create a competitive environment in the market. It will lead to a reduction in the prices of vehicles and enhance efficiency.
