Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) Director General Zainul Abedin has inaugurated the newly established fertiliser laboratory at PSQCA's Quality Control Center. This lab is the first to test all fertiliser products, such as Single Super Phosphate (SSP), Bio Organo Phosphate (BOP), Urea, Di-ammonium Phosphate (DAP), etc. Speaking at the opening event, Zainul Abedin announced that all laboratories will soon be renovated to ensure Pakistani products meet high quality standards and can compete on global markets.

The director general was updated by the directors of the Standard Development Centre and the Quality Control Center on the performance of their respective departments and infrastructure upgrades. The efforts put forward by both departments were recognised by the director general. He further stated that the agency will get all the assistance necessary in fostering a culture of quality throughout the country and providing the industry with technical advice. Earlier, Zainul Abedin spoke with directors and officials while touring other PSQCA sections, including the Standard Development Center, Technical Service Center, and System Certification Center.
