The first ever three-day ‘International Housing and Real Estate Expo’ is going to be held from December 8 to promote real estate business in the country and ensure safe and secure housing for the people, reports WealthPK.
The Ministry of Housing and Works will organize the expo in collaboration with relevant ministries, agencies, organizations and authorities to encourage approved housing projects and uplift the construction sector, an official of the housing ministry told WealthPK on the condition of anonymity.
People associated with the real estate and housing industry across the country will participate in the exhibition. Real estate developers, housing societies, real estate consultants and construction material related industries will set up their stalls at the event. The objective of the expo is to create awareness among the masses about the approved real estate.
According to Secretary of Housing and Works Iftikhar Ali Shallwani, the construction sector is the biggest provider of job opportunities as it has several other industries attached to it.
"It is the fundamental right of everyone to have secure and safe housing, and the ministry intends to organise the event to achieve this purpose," he added.
Shallwani said different stalls would be set up by the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA), Pakistan Housing Authority Foundation (PHAF) and the country’s major builders and developers. He said the event is expected to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
