MIANWALI, Aug 10 (INP): A senior officer of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Wing Commander Muhammad Shahzad embraced martyrdom when his aircraft crashed near here while on a routine operational flight, according to a statement issued by the air force’s media wing on Wednesday. Press release issued on Thursday, by spokesperson of Pak Air Force, an enquiry board has been formed to probe the crash and an investigation into the crash has already been launched in this regard. Wing Commander Mohammad Shahzad was flying an F-7 aircraft when it reportedly encountered a technical fault and crashed near the Sabzazar area of Mianwali late Tuesday. The body of the martyred pilot was recovered from the site of the incident and shifted to PAF Base M M Alam, Mianwali, where the funeral prayers were offered, read the release. INP/LK
