Businessmen in Ethiopia are ready to welcome a Pakistani delegation that will arrive in Addis Abeba on March 5 to look into business, trade, and investment prospects, according to Ethiopian Ambassador to Pakistan Jemal Beker Abdula. During a meeting with a business delegation from Taxila that visited him at his office, the ambassador said Pakistan needs alternative business markets to expand its exports through diversification. In order to do this, the Ethiopian Embassy takes the initiative to help a trade delegation reach not just the Ethiopian market but also the whole African continent.

The meeting covered topics such as how to improve bilateral trade and interpersonal ties between the two countries. It also discussed how to turn the trade delegation's trip to Ethiopia into a success besides looking at possibilities to strengthen bilateral connections between the two countries in a variety of areas, including the economy, health, and education. The ambassador informed the Taxila businesspeople on the preparations for the trade trip, which would strengthen ties between the two countries' business communities and enable Pakistani entrepreneurs to access markets across Africa.

The delegation from Taxila complimented Jemal Beker Abdula's efforts in fostering closer connections between the two countries. They pledged their full support for the trade delegation's visit to Ethiopia and promised that influential members of the business community will play a part in boosting two-way trade. The delegation indicated a strong desire to foster people-to-people relations between Pakistan and Ethiopia through enhancing educational collaboration.
