ISLAMABAD, July 20: In continuation with the policy of providing latest systems for labs, Vice-Chancellor of PMAS-Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi, Prof Dr Qamar-uz-Zaman inaugurated the Digital Skills Training Lab on Wednesday.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, the vice chancellor said that access to authentic and reliable information is essential for quality research which is very difficult without establishing modern computer labs. “Students and faculty would benefit from the lab, which will not only allow them to share their work with the outer world but also provide access to modern and quality research materials,” he said.

He said that the university’s online management system is in final stages of construction and its will empower faculty and students to manage their regular tasks and reduce their workload by enhancing productivity with smooth communication and data security.

The university has already implemented projects like digitalization of offices, which will make procedures paperless and offer online access to quality books for students to research through e-library.
