HUAIAN, May 14 (Xinhua)-Xinhu County, located in east China's Jiangsu Province and surrounded by Baima Lake, Baoying Lake and Gaoyou Lake, boasts favorable conditions to develop aquaculture.
Crayfish is one of its popular aquatic products and its output value reached 400 million yuan (about 56.4 million US dollars) with a production volume of around 10,000 tons in 2019. Over 80,000 local residents are engaged in crayfish-related industries.
