Cnergyico PK Limited’s revenue increased 41% to Rs56.6 billion in the first three months of the ongoing financial year 2022-23 compared with Rs40.2 billion over the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

However, the company sustained an operating loss of Rs5.2 billion during the three months of FY23 as against an operating profit of Rs236 million in the corresponding period of FY22.

The company posted a net loss of Rs6.6 billion during 3MFY23 compared to a loss of Rs673 million in the corresponding period FY22, showing a growth of 874% in loss year-on-year, reports WealthPK.

Performance in FY22

During the financial year 2021-22, the company generated a hefty revenue of Rs170 billion compared to Rs142 billion in FY21, posting an increase of 20% year-on-year.  

The operating profit for FY22 stood at Rs 8.9 billion, 41% up from Rs6.3 billion in FY21. The profit-after-taxation for the year jumped to Rs4.8 billion, higher by 33% than Rs3.6 billion in FY21.

Earnings Per Share

The earnings per share (EPS) of the company remained negative in 2019 and 2020. However, the EPS increased to Rs0.67 in 2021 and Rs0.9 in 2022. Cnergyico PK Limited was established in Pakistan as a public limited company under the Companies Ordinance, 1984, on January 9, 1995. Oil refinery and petroleum marketing are the two main segments of the company. The company launched the petroleum marketing business in 2007.
