ISLAMABAD, August 13 (INP): Vice Premier of the State Council of China, Wang Yang will represent his country in Pakistan's Independence Day's flag-hoisting ceremony to be held here in front of the Parliament House. “Vice Premier Wang will be present at this auspicious occasion on the directions of President Xi Jinping as a special gesture of goodwill ” a Foreign Office spokesman said. The vice premier will attend the flag-hoisting ceremony as a special guest and is scheduled to meet President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. His visit is a reflection of the deep-rooted all-weather strategic cooperative partnership between two countries. Mr Wang will also participate in inauguration ceremonies of several China-Pakistan Economic Corridor projects and witness the signing of bilateral memorandums of understanding between the two countries. Earlier. in March, a contingent of the guard of honour of the three services of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) took part in the Pakistan military parade held in Islamabad to mark the Pakistan Day.
