Chinese Consul General in Lahore Zhao Shiren has conferred the Pakistan-China Friendship Award-2022 on the Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PCJCCI). The award was received by the Secretary of PCJCCI Salahuddin Hanif at a ceremony arranged for the same purpose.

During his speech at the ceremony, Zhao said that PCJCCI had done an excellent job in enhancing the connectivity between the businesses of the two countries. He said that PCJCCI is one of the best-performing chambers of the country, adding that Pak China Knowledge Portal, China-Way magazine, Chinese language courses and Pak-China Technology Gateway, are important projects being run through PCJCCI’s help.

He said, “Pakistan will be helped by the Chinese partners in all its problems. We will continue to improve our trade and cultural ties and also to increase our mutual economic dependency.” Salahuddin Hanif for his part thanked the Consul General for conferring such a prestigious award on the PCJCCI.

He said that PCJCCI is committed to strengthening the bilateral business relations between the two countries, adding that innovative solutions are being sought to increase trade and connectivity in the region. He continued, “China has emerged as the second largest economy of the world in only a few decades. In future, China will play a very important role on the global stage. We need to learn from Chinese resilience.”
