Chinese cellular giant provides digital skills to people in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, August 5, (INP-WealthPk): Zong, a leading cellular and digital service provider, has been providing free online health consultation to more than 12,000 people in Pakistan in collaboration with the leading telemedicine enterprise of Pakistan, Sehat Kahani, WealthPK reports.

To ensure that people have access to free healthcare, especially during the pandemic, Zong has enabled the customers to gain free sessions through the promo code: “Zongsehat”. It has provided consultation services to more than 5,000 non-Covid patients and over 7,000 coronavirus patients in the country so far.

Keeping in view the importance of providing timely and correct information to the people, Zong also conducted several health awareness sessions through Facebook, reaching millions to inform them about various health issues including diabetes, obesity, Covid-19 and mental health.

Zong and Sehat Kahani also launched a campaign to reiterate their commitment to digital health inclusion. Continuing the momentum, the company is also set to offer more than 12,000 free health consultations, a milestone on Twitter spaces.

“One of the core values we have at Zong is creating a digitally and socially inclusive Pakistan,” said Junaid Shafqat, the spokesperson for the cellular firm. He said that their partnership with Sehat Kahani ensured that the people in far-flung areas got medical attention at their doorsteps, especially during the time of crisis.

“We congratulate Sehat Kahani on achieving this milestone. Connectivity is imperative for delivering digital health services. The achievement and continuous efforts are also aligned with the Digital Pakistan agenda,” he said.

Dr Sara Saeed Khurram, the chief executive officer of Sehat Kahani, congratulated Zong for an impactful collaboration on more than 12,000 e-health sessions. She said that their aim was to ensure that each and every Pakistani had access to health services and their partnership with Zong was a manifestation of it.

She said that they were creating a more inclusive Digital Pakistan through sustainable and digital health services.

Zong has also announced the launch of its Digital Trainee Executive Programme 2022 for the youth at discounted rates. The programme is meant to strengthen the digital capability of the country by empowering the youth and providing them with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of a structured development framework and work closely in the digital transformation of strategic projects.

Junaid Shafqat said that the programme was equipping the next generation of smart thinkers with skills of the future. He said that as an organization, Zong was focusing on developing the skills of its employees and encouraging fresh talent. He added that they were confident that the programme would contribute to the development of the industry in the country.
