BEIJING, April 7 (Xinhua) -- China has sent a total of 302 charter flights carrying medical professionals and emergency supplies to support global anti-epidemic efforts, according to the civil aviation authorities.
As of April 5, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has coordinated charter flights to send more than 110 medical specialists and 4,715 tonnes of emergency supplies to 48 countries, said the CAAC.
On April 5, a charter flight of Air China was dispatched to conduct the mission of sending 37.6 tonnes of supplies to aid the epidemic prevention and control work of 18 African countries. The flight landed at an airport in Ghana on April 6.
These supplies include ventilators, N95 face masks, protective clothing, gloves and other medical devices and protective equipment. They will also be transferred to 17 other African countries from Ghana, an aviation hub in West Africa. ■
