China, Pakistan militaries share anti-COVID-19 experience

BEIJING, April 8 (INP): The Chinese military and the Pakistani military held here a video conference and shared their prevention and control experience against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Gwadar Pro App, quoting China’s Ministry of National Defense said, about 20 health officials and experts from the two sides attended the conference from Beijing, Wuhan and Rawalpindi respectively.

The Chinese side introduced the overall situation and experience of People's Liberation Army (PLA) in response to the pandemic, testing techniques, methods and key points for COVID-19 as well as diagnosis and treatment scheme.

The two sides made exchanges on issues such as, emergency command’s coordination, epidemic’s prevention, control, monitoring, detecting and clinical treatment.

With case study, they also further discussed the strategies about the treatment for severe patients and nosocomial infection control.

The Pakistani side expressed sincere thanks to the Chinese side for sharing the experience on prevention, control and treatment for COVID-19 at the first time.

They also spoke highly of the active efforts made by the PLA in the prevention and control of the epidemic.

They also congratulated China on the great success in the initial stage of fighting against COVID-19, and appreciated China for its role as a big power in the international prevention and control of the epidemic.

It's the first time that the Chinese military has organized a teleconference with its foreign counterpart sharing its experience in fighting COVID-19.

Upholding the vision of building a community with a shared future for humanity, PLA will further step up international cooperation to safeguard global health security.
