NEW DELHI, Aug 24 (INP) The Chinese Embassy in India issued a second safety advisory to its nationals on Thursday, amid the deadly weekend train derailment, natural disasters, and frequent infectious disease cases. The notification reminds Chinese nationals to pay attention to their personal safety and the local security situation and to avoid unnecessary travel within the country. Travellers are told to carry personal identification information with them, obey religious customs, and keep their family, colleagues, and friends posted about their travel. The warning is valid till the end of the year. The first safety advisory was given on July 7 and was valid for one month. China and India have been engaged in a tense standoff in the Donglang area (Doklam) for about two months now. China has issued a series of warnings to India asking it to withdraw its troops from the area and claims Indian troops had used “absurd” reasons to illegally enter Chinese territory to obstruct construction of a road.
