BEIJING, June 26 (Xinhua) -- Beijing has strengthened disease prevention and control in a new fruits and vegetables transfer storage in Pinggu District to guarantee the safety of market supply.
The Pinggu Mafang transfer storage and transportation station, which includes disinfection area, turnover area, temporary storage area and closed-off management area, was put into use recently.
The carrying capacity here reached more than 50 trucks, and its daily transit volume of fruits and vegetables exceeded 1,000 tonnes.
