A smartphone app called Khad Hisab has been made accessible by the Punjab Agriculture Department to encourage farmers to fertilise their crops in a balanced manner and within their budget limits. This application, according to a department spokeswoman, will assist farmers in using nitrogenous, phosphorous, and potash fertilisers in accordance with their budgets and eventually increasing crop productivity per acre. She said that farmers may get Khad Hisab by entering SFRI on the Play Store. She advised growers to go to the www.agripunjab.gov.pk website to learn how to use the application.

According to agronomists, she said, a balanced application of fertilisers in light of laboratory soil analysis is crucial to achieving full crop output. Every fertiliser has a unique role in the development of plants, she added. The official said that the balanced application of fertilisers also shielded crops from the damaging effects of coldness and water scarcity. The effort is carried out on the instruction of Punjab Agriculture Secretary Ahmad Aziz Tarar, she added.
