Islamabad (INP): Ambassador of Belarus in Pakistan Andrei Metelitsa met with Dr. Muhammad Tariq, Additional Secretary (Europe) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan. Ms. Rabia Shafiq, Director General (Europe II), was also present at the meeting on Friday.

The Sides were focused on preparation for the fifth round of political consultations at the level of the Deputy Foreign Ministers of Belarus and Pakistan which will take place on July 27, 2021 in Minsk. During political consultations, Belarus and Pakistan plan to consider a wide range of topics, including visits at various levels, which will further strengthen political, trade and economic cooperation between the countries.

There was also a substantive exchange of views on the topical issues of bilateral agenda during the meeting.

The Pakistani Side noted that since the beginning of 2021, the countries have given a good start to cooperation in a wide range of areas, as evidenced by bilateral events held and scheduled in the near future.
