The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has lauded the economic policies and reforms undertaken by the government for the social uplift of the people of Pakistan. Director General of AIIB Ms. Supee Teravaninthom extended the bank’s financial support and cooperation to Pakistan during a meeting with Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Miftah Ismail, said a press release received by WealthPK.  

Ms. Supee Teravaninthom, who was heading an AIIB delegation, also highlighted the role of the bank in infrastructure development projects and investment. The finance minister shared with the delegation the currently undertaken budgetary and fiscal measures.

He briefed them about the targeted revenue and development goals for growing and sustaining the economic infrastructure.  He also apprised the delegation of the devastation caused by the recent floods in Pakistan and their impact on the economy.  The minister thanked the AIIB delegation for their support, the statement added.
