Agriculture Department Punjab has invited applications from growers for the sugarcane crops competition. The farmers with over five acres of sugarcane lands are eligible to participate in the competition, Deputy Director Agriculture (Extension) Khalid Mehmood said during a meeting. The farmers can file applications on the prescribed forms until September 30, 2022. 

The forms are available free of charge from the Agriculture Department’s office. Khalid said that the first position holder would be awarded a cash prize of Rs 300,000 whereas the second and third position holders would be awarded Rs 200,000 and Rs100,000 respectively. The competition would be held at the district level, he added.
