LONDON, Oct 5 (INP): Former Afghan president Hamid Karzai has on Thursday said that the new Afghan policy is a message of bloodshed in the region. In his interview with the British Broadcasting Company, he said that Afghanistan and Pakistan are like twin brothers. Karzai said that the US President Donald Trump’s new Afghan policy didn’t mention dialogues and peace in the country, adding that the US new policy is a conspiracy or strategy against the region. The former president hoped that Pakistan would understand the whole matter and Pakistan should strengthen friendship and cooperation with Afghanistan. He went on to say that he never talked about military action against Pakistan, adding that they want friendship with Pakistan. When asked about Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Qamar Javed Bajwa’s recent Kabul visit, he said he sees the tour a positive development and helpful in restoration of peace in the region. Afghan President Ashraf Ghani in an interview with BBC said: "This is the worst job on Earth". He said his country has been at war for almost 16 years now yet he is bullish about how long the country will continue to require the support of Nato. Nato troops, he says, will be able to pull out "within four years". INP/AH
